Leading with View is a Dharma enrichment retreat, organized by Paccaya Foundation for The Jataka School. In this nonresidential, weekend retreat, participants will explore the timelessness of the Dharmic view.

Right View, as it is traditionally known, is one of the eight factors in the Noble Eightfold Path and one that provides a solid foundation for the cultivation of the others. But what does it mean to hold the ‘view’? How do we cultivate it in our day-to-day life? Is ‘view’ a belief system? Or is it just a compass for a path of practice?

About Jakob Leschly

Jakob is a Buddhist practitioner, translator and instructor, serving and studying with Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. 

From 1980 to 1984, Jakob attended a three-year retreat at Chanteloube in France and lived in Dordogne until 1990. Since 1993, he has primarily served and studied with Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche and has translated various Buddhist texts, works on philosophy, and practice instructions. Since 1998, he has worked as an instructor in Buddhist theory and practice for Siddhartha’s Intent, also completing a BA in Tibetology at the University of Copenhagen. Jakob has spent years in France, Italy, India, Nepal, the United States, Australia, and his native Denmark, and has also travelled in Bhutan and Tibet. He presently lives in Switzerland. In his Dharma presentations, Jakob seeks to ensure that practitioners can understand the various Buddhist teachings and be able to proceed with their practice without hesitation.
